We invited some police officers into school to give a talk to the children on E-Safety. The children had a great time trying on the police jackets and sitting in the police car.
Ashleworth CE Primary School opened up their doors on Friday afternoon whilst the children laid on a cafe serving tea, coffee and an abundance of cake all made or donated by the parents. All the proceeds raised from the cafe are being put towards our newly established gardening club where we are hoping to by equipment for the children. Have a look at the gallery below to see all the delicious cakes that were on offer.
We were very lucky to be visited by some very important people this month, one of our parents along with her little boy and Jane Frew from the Teaching Advisory Service came to school to deliver an assembly to the children on hearing loss. The children found it very interesting and got to learn about the degrees of hearing loss, how hearing can be helped with cochlea implants and how we teach children to comminicatethrough sign language. At the end of the assembly the children were taught the letters of the alphabet and sang the 'Rainbow' song using sign language. Thank you to our parents, sibling and Jane for helping the children (and tecahers) understand more about hearing loss.
